ABOUT THE DIRECTOR

I am Lalaine Pascual, Managing Director and Certified Professional Bookkeeper at Pascual Bookkeeping Services Inc.

I completed a four-year post-secondary education and earned a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy degree from 2000 to 2004. During my studies, I was awarded an academic scholarship, which provided financial support and enabled me to continue and successfully complete my education.

Before moving overseas, I worked as an Accounting Technician for a bus manufacturing company in my home country. I later gained valuable experience working in the Administration and Finance departments of multinational companies before I decided to move to Canada.

In 2011, I embraced new career opportunities and challenges in Saskatchewan, Canada. I gained experience working with small, medium-sized, and multinational companies, where I held various roles, including Financial Administrator, Office Administrator, and Bookkeeper.

In 2013, I further developed my skills by taking an evening course in Bookkeeping for Small Business and Entrepreneurs at Saskatchewan Polytechnic in Saskatoon, formerly known as SIAST. This experience marked the beginning of my passion for bookkeeping and strengthened my desire to help small business owners manage their financial records effectively.

Through networking with local small business owners, I also recognized the growing demand for professional bookkeeping services. Many business owners struggle to find the time to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records while managing the day-to-day operations of their businesses. As a result, many choose to hire professional bookkeepers to ensure their records are properly maintained.

I firmly believe that bookkeeping is an essential and valuable part of running a successful business. Proper bookkeeping enables business owners to effectively manage cash flow, gain a clear understanding of their financial performance, make informed business decisions, and plan confidently for the future.

After years of combining my education, professional experience, training, and seminars, I decided to pursue my dream of becoming an independent bookkeeper. In 2016, I started my virtual bookkeeping business as a sole proprietorship, and in 2019, I incorporated the business.

Driven by my entrepreneurial spirit and passion for helping business owners, becoming an independent bookkeeper has been one of my greatest professional goals. My mission is to provide convenient, reliable, and professional bookkeeping services to business owners in Saskatchewan and across other provinces and territories in Canada, allowing them to focus more on growing their businesses and improving profitability.

Through my virtual bookkeeping services, I support a diverse range of industries, including advertising, construction, cleaning services, daycare, dental services, food services, health and wellness, hospitality, photography, restaurants, travel, recruitment, and many others.

To further expand my knowledge and expertise and provide more comprehensive financial services to small and medium-sized businesses, I am currently pursuing the Master Financial Advisor – Business Services Specialist Designation Program as well as working toward obtaining my CPA designation.
